ABOUT ADISON

About Adison

Hi, I’m Adison. I’m so happy you’re here!

I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist whose passion in life is helping women feel normal around food and confident in their own skin. I’m so passionate about it because I’ve been there myself, so I totally understand how hard it can be. I remember how isolated I felt when I was taking steps to recover–which is why I started my own practice. I want the women I work with to know they aren’t alone, and then be there to support them throughout their journey.

I’ve always had a fixation on living a healthy lifestyle, which of course involves nutrition. I was a competitive gymnast growing up, and an athlete my whole life until an injury stopped me from continuing. I studied nutrition in college because I got into the fitness world and became obsessed with “healthy” eating. I also started running at that time, and later became a professional bodybuilder. I thought bodybuilding and tracking macros was the answer–that it would finally heal the harmful eating patterns I had developed–but it only made them worse. Ultimately, I knew leaving it behind was the only way forward.

The other part of this way forward was graduate school, where I studied dietetics and my eyes were opened to intuitive eating. After finishing my degree, I combined my love of personal coaching with my newfound expertise on how to help women overcome similar struggles to mine by creating Adison Barnhart Nutrition.

A little more about me: I live in Nashville, TN, where I love teaching Pilates and going on hikes. I am big into self-care, which for me looks like journaling, going on coffee dates, and buying myself flowers—to name a few. I have a dog, Honey, who is my whole world.

You are so much more than
your body—and I can’t wait
for you to see that, too.

Empathy. Expertise.
Empowerment.

I started Adison Barnhart Nutrition because I’m passionate about
empowering women to heal their relationship with food. I am
dedicated to making this a safe and welcoming space, because I
know how hard it is to ask for help. I pair practical steps and
evidence-based information with authentic connection and
empathy, so that your progress is real and long-lasting. Last but
not least, I believe that each individual’s journey is going to look
different, which is just part of the beauty of the healing process.
