Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently asked questions

  • This depends! Sometimes a client will work with me for three months, and sometimes she needs me for a year or longer. Together, we evaluate how you’re doing regularly to figure out the best way to move forward. And after ten weeks have passed, we have a conversation to determine if meeting less frequently makes sense. Generally speaking, I’m here for as long as you need the support and structure, but the end goal is, of course, to feel confident enough with your body, food, and exercise so that you can do this on your own.

  • Yes! My coaching is intentionally designed to give you the tools and information you need over time. That said, although I do have set modules that I typically cover with each client, my coaching is still geared toward your unique experience. As questions or concerns arise, I make space to address whatever you may need the most first, because each session is tailored to help you succeed.

  • That’s a great question, and a totally fair concern to have. My short answer is maybe! My long answer is that everyone’s journey is different, and there’s no “right” amount of time for reaching the finish line. (Personally, it took me a few years.) I come in to help you change your perspective, act as a steady support, and show you the steps in the right direction. By the end of our time together, whenever that may be, you’ll have gained valuable information and tools you need to keep making progress. My goal is for you to trust the process and feel empowered to continue creating a life that’s both happy and healthy.

  • I’ve guided hundreds of clients towards a healthy relationship with food in a 1:1 coaching capacity for almost three years now and have helped many women who also felt unsure if this would “work” for them.

I've combined my entire nutrition philosophy, tools and activities into one life-changing program.

Many of the women I’ve helped find food freedom also thought that they were different and that this wouldn’t work for them. But it did work, and they’re living happily and freely because they took the risk!

I can’t make any promises, as that’s unethical, but as long as you do the work, stay open-minded, and give this journey your all, it is my belief that you’ll get there.

We are all humans; biologically, we’re all the same. If someone else can do it, you can too!

Of course, you have to WANT it and put in the work to get there, but you are capable of intuitive eating; you were in fact born an intuitive eater. You simply need to learn to get back in touch with your intuitive self, and I’m here to give you all the tools you need to do just that!

  • Okay, you’re partially right. You’ll never stop eating because you need a lot of food every single day, multiple times per day, for the rest of your life to survive—even more of a reason to achieve this goal of eating being easy because it really sucks to stress about every meal—but I know what you mean, lol.

You may feel like you’ll never stop eating because, biologically, you’re overly hungry, maybe even extremely hungry, from being calorically restricted for all these years. Once you learn to honor and trust your hunger, you can then respect your fullness and allow your body to regulate to your set weight (we will talk more about this).

You may feel like you’re overeating at the beginning of this journey; this is normal and won’t continue forever. Your body is learning to trust you again, and this is the amount of food it needs to be able to do that. It’s learning to trust that you’ll give it food when it wants and needs it, every single time.

While weight gain may be a possibility for you, the good news is you won’t continue to gain and gain and gain weight forever; that’s not how your body functions. I can’t tell you exactly what your weight will do; it has the potential to increase, decrease, or stay the same.

Think about how much life you’ll gain through this journey!

  • There’s no right or wrong way to practice intuitive eating. There’s no way to fail or mess this up unless you give up—unless you don’t start.

Intuitive eating is all about finding the eating style that works best for you, your life, and your body. The only rule is that there are no rules, but you can’t wake up tomorrow and be an intuitive eater. You must practice, unlearn, and relearn everything. At the beginning, it’ll feel very “unintuitive.”

You’ll feel more focused on food than you ever have; this is normal. It’s going to take time, but as you continue on this journey, eating will begin to feel easy, like second nature.
